Hengistbury Head is a site of significant archaeological importance and supports a wide variety of wildlife and rare plant species. The Dorset nature reserve is also a major educational resource and hosts an annual BioBlitz event, encouraging locals to explore the area's wildlife.
While in my final year at Bournemouth University, I had the chance to work closely with the team on a pro bono project to create marketing materials for the 2019 BioBlitz event.
Reworking of the poster and design of accompanying social media assets.
Creation of a 60 second promo video to be shared across digital channels.
I developed an existing poster design to feature more wildlife and up-to-date information, as well as creating a variety of formats for both print and digital purposes. Creating cohesion across social channels was one key strategy in increasing engagement and attendance.
The Hengistbury Head team said a short promotional video was on their wishlist, but not a requirement. I created this 60 second piece working with colleagues at Bournemouth University who filmed the drone footage.
